Your new role
Hays Education are looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across a range of primary schools in Smethwick. Whether you're seeking day-to-day flexibility, short-term assignments, or long-term opportunities, we can offer a variety of roles across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 to suit your experience and availability.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons, work with small groups or individual pupils, and help create a positive learning environment where children can thrive. Opportunities are available in mainstream primary schools, including roles supporting pupils with additional needs.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Recent experience working with children in a school, nursery, or similar setting
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
- A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting learning
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
