Hays Education is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in the Blackburn area.

About the School: This specialist setting supports young people who experience social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The provision offers a supportive, life transforming environment built on strong values focused on Success, Health, Inspire, Nurture and Empower, promoting emotional wellbeing, personal development and academic progress. Pupils are taught in small groups, enabling staff to build positive relationships, tailor learning and support pupils with complex needs to develop confidence, resilience and independence.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs throughout the school day.
  • Assist in small classes, helping to deliver differentiated and engaging learning.
  • Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing environment that enables pupils to thrive.
