The Department The Humanities Directorate is a supportive and dedicated department staffed by a small and cohesive team who work together to achieve excellent outcomes for students. The department comprises RE, History and Geography at key stages 3 and 4, with the addition of Criminology, Law, Psychology and Sociology in the sixth form. The Directorate is at the forefront of the Academy's co-curricular offer and runs a wide range of trips to enhance student understanding of individual subjects, as well as improve students' life experiences. The Role We are looking for an RE teacher who: * has excellent subject knowledge in Religious Education at all key stages * is experienced in teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5 * is able to engage and motivate pupils to reach beyond their potential plans and delivers outstanding lessons * will mark, feedback and report on RE assessments with a focus on improving students through success * will actively contribute to department meetings and build strong relationships with others * TLR focus to lead and be responsible for KS3 RE Why you should join us You will get a real opportunity to make a difference within a school which encourages students and staff to be aspirational.
