Your new company Hays Education Wirral are a market-leading recruitment agency. We are working with a Wirral based primary school to recruit a primary teacher to work in Key Stage 1 from September 2025. This post is full-time and for a one-year fixed term in the first instance.

Your new role As the KS1 class teacher, you will be responsible for supporting the children and working with a part-time teaching assistant. You will plan and deliver engaging but suitably challenging lessons for a mixed ability group. You will be joining a close-knit, hardworking team where you will have the support of your peers to get the best from the children in your care.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Have UK Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have experience of working with the KS1 curriculum
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to plan and deliver lessons that will keep children engaged on track for their learning journeys

If you don't have a PGCE, QTS, QTLS or recent teaching experience, you can register as a Teaching Assistant or cover supervisor, provided you have worked with children for 1 month in the past 4 years. We welcome applicants who are currently working for other agencies.
