Your new company Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school seeking an experienced and dedicated Before and After School Care Manager to lead their wraparound care provision. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate childcare professional to make a positive impact by creating a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for children outside of the school day.
Your new role As the Before & After School Care Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the school's wraparound care provision, ensuring children are provided with a safe, engaging and inclusive environment before and after the school day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the wraparound care provision.
- Supervising and supporting a team of staff.
- Planning and delivering creative activities and play opportunities.
- Managing bookings, attendance and administrative processes.
- Building positive relationships with parents, staff and external agencies.
- Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the provision.
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, welfare and health and safety.
Current working pattern: Monday to Wednesday: 11:45am to 6:00pm Thursday: 7:00am to 1:15pm
What you'll need to succeed:
- A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Playwork, Education, Early Years, or a related field.
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, early years or wraparound care setting.
- Previous experience leading or supervising staff is desirable.
- Strong organisational, communication and safeguarding knowledge.
- A passion for creating a positive and engaging environment for children.
