You will be working with Hays Education, who are one of the largest recruitment agencies working within primary schools in Thanet and surrounding areas such as Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. We are currently recruiting Supply Teachers who can teach from Reception through to KS2 or a specific stage / year groups on a day-to-day basis as well as long-term roles.
Long-term roles could cover anything from sickness, PPA time, course cover, management release time, paternity leave, maternity leave and interventions. This role may or may not require planning. If you do need to plan, then you will be paid to scale for this. As a Supply Teacher, you will be working in a classroom teaching children in the absence of their original teacher. You will have the responsibility of teaching the class. You will be required to deliver the lessons from plans left by the class teacher, mark all books as per policy and provide feedback where relevant. Observing behaviour and ensuring all children are following the behavioural policy and any other issues to be reported back to the Teacher - any safeguarding issues please report to the on-duty DSL.
You may be supporting different schools on a day to day, ad hoc basis or, if this is your preferred choice, you will be working at the same school on a long-term basis, either full-time or part-time. Remember working on supply is completely flexible and can work around your other commitments.
