Hays Education are seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a welcoming school in Sunderland on a long-term temporary basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker, facilities assistant, or site supervisor who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented school environment.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am to 3:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am to 2:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening and securing the school premises each day
- Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repair work
- Ensuring the school grounds and buildings are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Conducting regular health and safety checks
- Supporting with room setups for meetings, events, and school activities
- Monitoring contractors and visitors on site
- Reporting maintenance issues and liaising with relevant contractors where required
- Assisting with emergency call-outs and site security when necessary
