School Site Manager Near Sunderland Full Time, 36 Hours per Week (8:00am to 4:00pm) ASAP Start Long-Term Temporary Opportunity with Potential to Become Permanent We are seeking a proactive and reliable School Site Manager to join a welcoming school near Sunderland on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced site professional looking for a long-term temporary role with the potential to secure a permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Opening and closing the school premises Ensuring the security and safety of the site Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks Managing contractors and site visitors Conducting health and safety checks and maintaining records Monitoring building systems and reporting defects Supporting with site inspections and compliance requirements Assisting with room setups and school events where requiredThe Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience in a Site Manager, Caretaker, Facilities, or Estates role Good practical maintenance and repair skills Knowledge of health and safety procedures Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently A flexible and proactive approach to work Previous experience working within a school environment is desirableEssential Requirements: Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service Ability to start ASAP Right to work in the UK What We Offer: Full-time hours, Monday to Friday (8:00am to 4:00pm) Competitive weekly pay Long-term temporary assignment with potential for a permanent contract Dedicated support throughout the assignment Opportunity to work within a supportive school environmentDue to the nature of this role, a current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is essential.
