Hays Education are recruiting for dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across specialist schools in Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Support Workers, Care Workers, and Youth Workers looking for flexible work supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Whether you're looking for a few days a week or full-time work, we have a range of opportunities available.
Your new role
As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Work with children and young people with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and complex needs
- Support learning, engagement and classroom participation
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence and key life skills
- Adapt to different school settings and support teams

- Experience working with children or young people with SEND

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
