Hays Education is working in partnership with an outstanding secondary school to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in November 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop their creativity, practical skills, and subject knowledge.
- Teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Monitoring student progress and providing effective feedback
- Contributing to the wider life of the department and school
- Full-time maternity cover from November 2026
What you'll need to succeed:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Design Technology in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- Passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
