Are you a passionate Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher looking for a rewarding long-term supply role in Wellington, Somerset? We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming school on a long-term basis, starting ASAP, for a minimum of 6 weeks.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking valuable classroom experience in a supportive and well-established primary school setting.

The Role

  • Position: KS1 Teacher (Year 1 or Year 2)
  • Location: Wellington, Somerset
  • Start Date: Immediate (ASAP)
  • Contract: Long-term supply (minimum 6 weeks)
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Pay: Competitive daily rate (paid to scale where applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and safeguarding

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (KS1) (placements accepted for ECTs)
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A passion for primary education and pupil development
