Site ManagerLocation: SloughSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full-Time We are seeking an experienced and proactive Premises Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, maintenance, health & safety, and security of a busy school site in Slough.Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the school buildings, grounds, and facilities are safe, secure, well-maintained, and fit for purpose. This is a varied role requiring strong facilities' management experience, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to lead site staff and contractors effectively. Key Responsibilities Manage the maintenance, security, cleanliness, and overall operation of the school site and grounds. Lead and supervise premises staff, coordinating workloads and contractor activities. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, including risk assessments, fire safety procedures, COSHH, and safeguarding requirements. Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance schedules and premises improvement plans. Oversee repairs, building projects, service contracts, and contractor performance. Manage site security, key holding duties, and emergency response procedures. Monitor premises-related budgets, procurement, and asset management. Support school events, lettings, and occasional out-of-hours requirements.About You Proven experience in premises, facilities, estates, or site management. Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance. Experience managing contractors, maintenance projects, and budgets. Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Competent IT skills and confident with administrative reporting. Practical maintenance skills and willingness to undertake minor repairs. Flexible approach with the ability to respond to emergencies outside normal working hours.Desirable Experience working within a school, education, or public sector environment. NEBOSH qualification or equivalent Health & Safety certification.
