Your new company Hays Education is recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist school in Rugby.
The school provides a welcoming and supportive environment for children and young people with a range of special educational needs.
These are long term positions for the full academic year, with opportunities to continue beyond this.
Temporary to permanent opportunities are also available for the right candidates.
Your new role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individual and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
You will support pupils with their learning, communication, independence and personal development, helping them to engage positively throughout the school day.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a consistent, long-term SEND role, rather than short-term or day-to-day supply work.
What you'll need to succeed We are looking for patient, enthusiastic and reliable individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with SEN.
Previous experience working with children, young people or adults with additional needs is essential.
This could be within a school, SEND setting, care, support work, youth work or a similar environment.
You will need strong communication skills, a positive approach and the ability to build effective relationships with pupils and staff.
