Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)? Hays Education is urgently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in specialist SEN schools across Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support for students with a range of special educational needs
  • Assist in delivering Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Support classroom teachers with behaviour management and student engagement
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with SEN professionals, including speech therapists and educational psychologists
  • Track and report on student progress and development

Requirements:

  • Essential: Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN setting
  • Optional: Experience in a healthcare or care worker role - if you have worked with people with SEN then we want to hear from you!
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, adaptable, and compassionate approach
