About The Role
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school setting in Rugby. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with special educational needs, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will be working closely with pupils who have a range of needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs, providing both classroom and 1:1 support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assist with the delivery of tailored learning activities
- Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Support students with additional needs, including personal care where required
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social skills
- Work collaboratively with teachers and wider support staff
About You
- Experience working with SEN (school, care, or support setting)
- A patient, caring, and resilient attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
