Your new company
Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a Winsford-based SEN high school as they are looking to appoint motivated and reliable teaching assistants for full-time temporary contracts starting in September 2025. This is a full-time long-term contract.

Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis. The pupils you will be supporting do have individual EHCPs but are all at high capacity and are able to access the curriculum. As such, your focus will be on ensuring that each pupil reaches their full academic potential. To support this, you will build strong constructive relationships with your pupils by getting to know them as an individual, associating learning material with their key interests and actively encouraging the to give valid input. As well as this, you will offer intervention and booster sessions in core subjects, including intense 1:1 sessions to lower/mixed ability pupils.

What you need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have full \”Right to Work\” in the UK and a minimum of 40 days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years. Other desirables include:

  • Experience working with high functioning SEN
  • Experience delivering interventions and boosters in core subjects
