Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a leading special educational needs (SEN) school in Wirral that provides outstanding support for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Your New Job

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join this PMLD school on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a temporary teaching role with the strong potential to become permanent, depending on performance and fit within the team. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a highly personalised and sensory-based curriculum to students with complex learning and physical needs. You will work closely with a team of teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to ensure each pupil receives a holistic and engaging education tailored to their individual needs.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Hold UK qualified teacher status
  • Have recent and relevant experience working within a classroom that we can reference
  • Have relevant experience (either personal or professional) working with SEN children
  • Be an approachable and patient teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to quickly build effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues
