Your new role
As a SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering tailored, engaging, and purposeful learning experiences for pupils with additional needs. You will:
- Teach small groups or individual pupils with a range of SEN, with a particular emphasis on SEMH.
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that inspire progress and support emotional regulation.
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and school leaders to put personalised plans into action.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, using consistent routines and a trauma-informed approach.
- Contribute to behaviour support strategies and whole-school inclusion initiatives.
Full-time and part-time working patterns are available to suit your circumstances, with start dates available immediately or from Easter.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs - SEN experience is essential, ideally with SEMH across Primary and/or Secondary settings.
- A nurturing, resilient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Strong behaviour-support strategies and the ability to build trust with vulnerable learners.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
