Secondary School Attendance Officer Based in Castle Vale,North Birmingham£15ph – £16ph Your new company A busy Secondary School is looking for a School Attendance Officer. The cover is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8 am – 4 pm. The role is a long term role. The school is looking for someone to start as soon as possible. Your new role The role will be to oversee the day-to-day attendance registers for pupils and to provide SIMS management, information and reports. The role will entail overseeing the day-to-day attendance registration for the whole school, investigating absences on a daily basis and issue marks on a weekly basis to ensure absences are correctly coded and to monitor absence figures and liaise with SLT and DSLs as appropriate. You will also support with home visits for absent pupils. What you'll need to succeed You will need to have a high level of communication and IT skills and be able to work quickly under your initiative. You will also have recent satisfactory references for carrying out a similar placement within the last 2 years. You will also need to have an up to date DBS check, the school can't accept any applicants without this.
