Hays Education are working in partnership with a friendly and well-regarded primary school in Denton who are seeking a temporary Site Manager to cover a planned absence. This school has a strong community ethos and commitment to providing a safe and stimulating environment for all pupils and takes great pride in maintaining high standards across its facilities, ensuring a welcoming and secure setting for both staff and children.
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Site Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and security of the school premises. This is a key role within the school, ensuring that the site is safe, compliant, and well-maintained at all times.
Location: Denton, M34
Start Date: 8th June
Contract Type: Temporary, approx 5 weeks
Rate: Up to £16/hour
Hours: 7am - 2:30pm
What You'll Be Doing:
- Opening and closing the school site daily
- Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks
- Ensuring the site is safe, secure, and compliant with health & safety regulations
- Monitoring and maintaining heating, lighting, and alarm systems
- Managing contractors on-site and supporting statutory checks
- Overseeing cleaning standards and site presentation
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a site management, caretaker, or facilities role (ideally within a school setting)
- A strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Practical, hands-on, and able to carry out basic maintenance tasks
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach
- Any relevant qualifications would be beneficial
