Your new company

Hays Education are recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Rugby. This is a full-time opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Your new role

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Assist with classroom activities and learning interventions
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement
  • Support pupils to develop confidence, independence and life skills
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
  • Experience in education, care, support work or youth work
  • Patient, resilient and caring approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion for helping young people achieve their potential
