Your new company
Hays Education are recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Rugby. This is a full-time opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Your new role
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Assist with classroom activities and learning interventions
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Support pupils to develop confidence, independence and life skills
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Experience in education, care, support work or youth work
- Patient, resilient and caring approach
- Strong communication skills
- Passion for helping young people achieve their potential
