An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed Resource Base Class Teacher to join a brand-new SEND provision in a Primary School based in South Birmingham, opening in September 2026. This role offers the chance to be part of a specialist resource base designed to support pupils with communication and interaction needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). You will play a key role in delivering a bespoke, high-quality curriculum tailored to meet the needs of pupils, ensuring they achieve the very best outcomes both academically and socially.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Be a qualified teacher with experience in primary, early years, or SEND settings
  • Have a strong understanding of Autism and communication needs
  • Demonstrate a track record of high-quality teaching and inclusive practice
  • Be adaptable, resilient and committed to supporting pupils with complex needs
  • Have experience (or a strong interest) in working with pupils with EHCPs and differentiated curriculum pathways
  • Be confident working collaboratively with support staff, SENCo, parents and external agencies
