Hays Education is working with a specialist SEND school in the Halesowen area that is looking to appoint two full-time Teaching Assistants to join its dedicated team as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly supportive setting where staff work collaboratively to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
The RoleWorking alongside teachers, therapists and support staff, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. You may support students on a 1:1 basis, within small groups or across the classroom, helping them engage in learning, develop communication skills and build confidence.
The successful candidates will be adaptable, nurturing and resilient, with a genuine commitment to supporting children and young people with SEND.We Are Particularly Interested In Candidates With Experience Of:

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Makaton or alternative communication methods
Physical disabilities and mobility needs
Personal care support
EHCP outcomes and personalised learning
Emotional regulation and wellbeing support
1:1 support, small-group interventions and classroom support
