Hays are recruiting for a Part-Time Cleaner to work at HMP Haverigg, near Millom, Cumbria. This is a long-term temporary position, offering consistent hours and a stable working environment within a secure public sector facility.
The Role
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment across designated areas of the prison estate. Duties will include:
- General cleaning of offices, communal areas and welfare facilities
- Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming
- Dusting and sanitising touch points
- Washroom and welfare cleaning
- Waste removal and disposal
- Ensuring cleaning standards are maintained throughout the site
- Following all health and safety procedures
