Woodfield School, part of Henry David Learning Trust, is an innovative and exciting independent special school, supporting children and young people with Autism and associated speech and language, social communication and behavioural difficulties, aged 7 to 19.

We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our community and take on the role of Teaching Assistant on a full time, permanent basis. Due to the nature of our provision, it would be highly advantageous if you have existing knowledge, experience and/or awareness around any of the following: SEN, SEMH, Speech and Language, Phonics, Number Bonds, Classroom Layout or Learning Through Play.

The appointed candidate will have key responsibilities that include creating a learning culture and experience for pupils who find it a challenge to engage with a full programme of onsite learning, and to work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis to reengage them with onsite learning. You will also work closely with the SENCo and Curriculum Deputy on targeting and agreeing a programme of support and intervention for students, off and onsite. You will be part of a team who will continue to influence and contribute to the Pastoral Team at our school.
