Your new company Hays Education is working in partnership with a wide range of secondary schools across London, including high-performing academies, community schools, and Ofsted-rated 'Good' and 'Outstanding' settings. Due to continued demand, we are recruiting Science Teachers across all specialisms (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) for roles starting immediately and from September.
Your new role As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on your experience and specialism. You will inspire students to develop a genuine interest in Science while supporting their academic progress and achievement.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Teaching Biology, Chemistry, or Physics across KS3-KS5 (depending on experience)
- Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contributing to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
What you'll need to succeed:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
