We're looking for an exceptional School Receptionist to join a welcoming and supportive school in Lancaster.

Your role will place you at the heart of the school community.
As the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils, and staff, you'll help create a warm, professional, and efficient front-of-house experience.
From managing enquiries and telephone calls to supporting the wider school office, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
This is a full-time temporary position, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, from September 2026 for half a term, with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate.
Your new role
Manage the school diary, booking appointments, arranging meetings, and sending reminders Update and maintain records, databases, and files on SIMS.
Send and receive letters, emails, faxes, and deliveries.
Preparation of documentation and resources, tidying of materials and replenishment of stock.
Follow the school policies and procedures regarding health and safety, confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection.
Using ICT systems for communications and record-keeping, including SIMS. net, Edulink, EVOLVE, CPOMS, and Parent Pay.
Carrying out reprographics work.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally previous experience in a school office environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications Knowledge of SIMS or other school management systems A friendly, professional, and helpful attitude A high level of confidentiality and discretion A flexible and adaptable approach to work A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
