Your new company Hays Education is working with inclusive primary schools across Kirkby seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Your new role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SENDCOs to provide tailored support for pupils with a variety of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 or small group support Assisting pupils with their learning, engagement and development Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies Encouraging positive social interactions and emotional wellbeing Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and school staff These SEND TA roles are term time only, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.
