Head of Year Support Staff – SO1/2 £33,366 rising to £37,983 pro-rata (Pay Award Pending) Actual Salary £31,505 rising to £35,873 Full Time Term Time Only plus 3 weeks From September 2025 This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious leader to join our pastoral team as a Head of Year. The post holder will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing and progress of all pupils in a year group. We are looking for the very best person to guide and support a year group to excellence. In this role you will report directly to a Teaching Key Stage Leader. The successful candidate will: Have excellent communication and leadership skills in order to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and external agencies Have high expectations of students and what they can achieve Have significant pastoral experience Have a strong understanding of strategies which address barriers to learning Have a sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection with the ability to manage complex student needs with professionalism and care whilst being part of a wider safeguarding team Be able to develop and drive new initiatives and innovate practiceAt Longhill High School, you will be supported and encouraged to develop outstanding practice.
