Hays Education is supporting 2 separate SEN trusts based in the Guildford area, looking to recruit multiple permanent qualified Speech and Language Therapists roles starting in September. These opportunities are ideal for therapists who are passionate about supporting children and young people with communication needs within specialist educational settings.

The role

  • Assess and support pupils with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Deliver individual and group therapy programmes
  • Support pupils with ASC, SEMH, and complex learning needs
  • Contribute to EHCP targets and reviews
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide practical strategies to support communication across the school environment

Roles are available on an up to a 12-month contract basis.

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (education or clinical settings)
  • Strong communication and collaborative working skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
