Pay: £200 per week

Working pattern: breakfast club: Monday to Friday (7:15 to 8:30) & after-school club: Monday, Tuesday (3:00 to 6:00)

Total hours: 12 hours 15 minutes per week

Contract: Starting from September onwards

Your New Role

As a Playworker, you'll support children of a variety of ages in creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where they can learn, play, and develop social skills. You will help plan and supervise activities, encourage participation, and support children's individual needs throughout the day. You'll build positive relationships with children, promoting their confidence, independence, and wellbeing while ensuring they feel included and supported. You may also help manage challenging behaviour by using positive behaviour strategies and creating a fun and nurturing atmosphere.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To become a Playworker, you will ideally hold a relevant childcare qualification or have transferable experience working with children in settings such as schools, nurseries, youth groups, clubs, care settings, sports coaching, or community programmes. To thrive in this role, you'll need a proactive, enthusiastic, and supportive attitude. You should be confident engaging with children of different ages and abilities, organising activities, and encouraging positive interactions. Strong communication skills, patience, reliability, and the ability to adapt to different situations are essential.
