Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary setting in Dudley that is seeking a dedicated Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to join their Early Years team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting children's development during these important formative years.
As a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner, you will work closely with pre-school aged children, supporting their learning and development through play-based activities and structured experiences. You will take responsibility for a small group of key children, building positive relationships with both pupils and their families to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pre-school aged children in their daily learning and development
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Acting as a key worker for up to 7 children
- Monitoring, assessing and recording children's progress and achievements
- Writing observations, reports and learning journeys
- Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development
- Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support individual needs
- Encouraging children to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Level 2 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Experience carrying out observations and tracking children's progress
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A nurturing, patient and enthusiastic approach
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
