SEN Teaching Assistants Required - Dudley
2 x Full-Time Roles (5 Days Per Week) | 1 x Part-Time Role (3 Days Per Week) | September Start
Not every Teaching Assistant role is the same. Some roles are about supporting learning. Others are about changing a child's entire experience of school.
Hays Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Dudley that are looking to appoint three Teaching Assistants to work within specialist SEND resource provisions from September.
We are currently recruiting for:
- 2 Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistants (Monday to Friday)
- 1 Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (3 Days Per Week)
These are long-term opportunities within schools that are committed to helping children develop confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning.
Why These Roles Stand Out
The resource provisions are designed to provide pupils with the specialist support they need whilst remaining part of a mainstream primary school community. You'll be working closely with children who benefit from smaller class sizes, personalised learning approaches and additional emotional and communication support.
Every day is different. One moment you could be helping a child communicate their ideas, the next you could be celebrating a breakthrough in confidence that staff and families have been working towards for months.
The Children You Will Support
Pupils within the provisions may have:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Sensory and processing difficulties
- Communication and interaction needs
The schools are looking for Teaching Assistants who can build trust, show patience and create positive relationships that help children feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
Your Day-to-Day Duties
- Supporting children on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
- Helping pupils access learning in a way that suits their individual needs
- Encouraging social development and positive peer interactions
