We're looking for caring, proactive Independence & Learning Support Assistants to support young people aged 16-25 with additional needs. This role focusses on helping learners build confidence, communication and essential life skills in both classroom and practical settings.

As an Independence & Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support learners through person-centred, independence-focused activities
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver accessible, engaging lessons
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support
  • Promote positive behaviour, communication and social interaction
  • Assist with practical tasks such as note-taking and organisation
  • Support learners during unstructured times, modelling appropriate social skills
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and achievements
  • Provide personal care, mobility support and mealtime assistance where required
  • Follow safeguarding, care plans and infection-control procedures

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Experience in SEN, care or education
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
