Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Hays Education is urgently recruiting experienced and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistants to work across a range of mainstream and specialist secondary schools in Chesterfield.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
- Help implement personalised behaviour and emotional support strategies
- Support classroom teachers in managing challenging behaviour and promoting engagement
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with pastoral teams, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Monitor and report on student progress and emotional wellbeing
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEMH or behavioural support setting or working with vulnerable people, potentially in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication, empathy, and resilience
- A calm, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting students with complex needs
