Your new company

Hays Education has been approached by a primary school in Burscough who are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with an SEN child in their nursery.

This role is a September start and has the potential to be extended through until the end of the academic year.

This is an Ofsted rated 'Good' school, and they encourage every child to discover their talents and grow in confidence.

Experience working with SEN children is ideal and also a qualification in Early Years.

Your new role

In your new role, you will need to support a pupil in nursery who struggles with mobility and speech and language difficulties.

You will be responsible for providing 1:1 support for this child.

You will need to work closely with the nursery teacher around differentiation of work and work closely with the child.

It is important that you liaise with the parents and SLT regarding pupil progress, so you should be able to build relationships quickly and easily.

You will need to ensure the child is fully supported and progressing with their learning.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children and previous experience supporting SEN children is desirable.

You should feel confident working with children in a 1:1 setting as well as being friendly and enthusiastic.

You will need to be available to start in September and continue through potentially until summer.
