At Hays Education, we are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-respected primary school in Blackpool to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 6 class, helping pupils prepare for their transition to secondary education while delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that promote academic success and personal growth.

Your new role

  • Full-time Year 6 class teaching position
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Supporting pupils in their SATs preparation and ensuring they reach their full potential
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs requirements
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A commitment to raising standards and pupil outcomes
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A passionate and reflective approach to teaching
