At Hays Education, we are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-respected primary school in Blackpool to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 6 class, helping pupils prepare for their transition to secondary education while delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that promote academic success and personal growth.
Your new role
- Full-time Year 6 class teaching position
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Supporting pupils in their SATs preparation and ensuring they reach their full potential
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs requirements
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A commitment to raising standards and pupil outcomes
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A passionate and reflective approach to teaching
