SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)📍 West Midlands Secondary School📅 September Start A well-established secondary school in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced and passionate SENCO to join its leadership team from September.This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping and developing SEND provision across the school, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to achieve their full potential. The Role You will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school, working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, parents and external agencies to promote inclusive practice and secure positive outcomes for students with additional needs. Key Responsibilities Lead the school's SEND strategy and provision. Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews and statutory processes. Coordinate interventions and monitor the progress of SEND students. Support and develop staff through training, guidance and best practice. Work collaboratively with parents, carers and external professionals. Maintain accurate SEND records and provision mapping. Contribute to whole-school improvement and inclusive learning initiatives.The Ideal Candidate Holds QTS and the relevant SENCO qualification (or is working towards it). Has previous experience leading SEND provision within a secondary school. Possesses strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice. Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
