I am working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the Temple Balsall area of Solihull. Your new role

I am seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, communication and interaction needs and learning difficulties. This role may involve working on a 1:1 basis or supporting small groups throughout the school day. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs.
• Assist with learning activities both inside and outside the classroom.
• Support pupils with communication, social and emotional development.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies.
• Foster a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Provide personal care and support with toileting needs where required.
• Promote pupil independence, confidence and engagement in learning.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working with children with SEN in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Relevant childcare, early years or education qualifications will also be considered.
• Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs and behavioural challenges.
• A caring, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable providing personal care and toileting support when required.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
