SEN One to One Teaching Assistant in Birmingham

We are working on behalf of an SEN School who are looking for a one-to-one Teaching Assistant to work with one of their pupils this term. The details are as follows: The school is located in north Birmingham and is a 10-minute drive from the city centreThe school caters for children at KS4 level with social, emotional and mental health challenges (SEMH)The role is to start as soon as possible and will continue until Christmas in the first instanceThe role entails supporting a pupil on a one-to-one basis, the pupil concerned has high levels of SEMH The role is Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 3.30 pm on a term-time only time sheet basisThe school will support with training for candidates who may not have experience of working in these kinds of settingsThe successful candidate will have experience of working with children with challenging behaviour and SEMHYou will be able to demonstrate the key competencies of working with children with SEMH and also de-escalation techniques - the school will consider people who have worked in children's residential care or similar settingsHays Education will be able to obtain recent satisfactory references that reflect this experience What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
