Key Responsibilities
- HR Advisory
- Provide professional HR advice and support across the full employee life cycle
- Support managers with employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance cases
- Advise on family-friendly policies and employment legislation
- Manage employee queries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
- Maintain HR records and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Produce HR reports and management information to support business decision-making
- Prepare correspondence and documentation relating to HR matters
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes and procedures
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist with end-to-end recruitment activity, including advertising vacancies, screening applications and coordinating interviews
- Work closely with hiring managers to support attraction and selection activity
- Coordinate offers, contracts and onboarding arrangements
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
- Monitor recruitment activity and maintain accurate records and reporting data
- Promote inclusive recruitment practices and equal opportunities

- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Contribute to management guidance materials and self-service resources

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be an approachable and organised HR professional with experience of providing operational HR support within a fast-paced environment. You will possess:
- Previous experience in a HR Advisor, People Advisor or equivalent role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive and service-focused approach
Desirable
- Experience within a multi-site operational, engineering, manufacturing, logistics or project-based environment
- Experience of using HR information systems and reporting tools
