Your new company

Hays Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded Multi-Academy Trust in Barnet to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coaches to support students across a number of secondary schools.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in sports coaching, PE instruction, youth work, fitness training, or sports development who are passionate about inspiring young people and promoting positive engagement through sport.

The successful candidates will work closely with PE departments and pastoral teams to deliver high-quality sporting activities, support students' physical wellbeing, and encourage participation in both curriculum and extracurricular sport.

Your new role

Deliver engaging sports coaching sessions across a range of activities.

Support PE lessons alongside teaching staff.

Lead and assist with extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and enrichment activities.

Promote teamwork, resilience, confidence, and positive behaviour.

Act as a positive role model for students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Support students with varying abilities and needs to fully participate in sport and physical activity.

Assist with sports events, tournaments, and school competitions.

Contribute to students' overall wellbeing, engagement, and attendance.

What you'll need to succeed

Experience coaching young people in a school, community, or club setting.

A passion for sport and supporting young people to achieve their potential.

Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Relevant sports coaching qualifications or equivalent experience.

A flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach.
