Hays Non-Qualified Finance are recruiting for a Payroll Assistant. You will be joining a well-established organisation in South Wales, playing a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. You will work collaboratively across departments to maintain transparent, compliant and reliable payroll processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the monthly payroll is processed accurately and on schedule, including preparing, reviewing and updating all necessary data
  • Calculating employee pay, deductions and statutory components such as SMP, SSP and pension contributions
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, including handling starters, leavers, pay adjustments and payroll-related queries
  • Assisting with payroll reconciliations, reporting, audit requirements and month-end activities
  • Managing payroll documentation and data securely, ensuring compliance with data protection standards

Length of assignment: Temp - 3-6 Months
