Oxfordshire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Adult Social Care Team based in Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking local authority that is committed to delivering strengths-based, person-centred support that promotes independence and positive outcomes for adults across Oxfordshire. The team operates a flexible hybrid working model, combining office-based work, home working and essential face-to-face visits within the community.
As a Social Worker within the Adult Social Care Team, you will manage a varied caseload and work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers and partner agencies to deliver high-quality social work interventions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking strengths-based assessments, reviews and support planning.
- Completing face-to-face visits within the community.
- Managing and prioritising a diverse caseload effectively.
- Carrying out safeguarding enquiries and promoting safeguarding principles.
- Working in partnership with health professionals and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Supporting adults to maximise independence and wellbeing.
- Maintaining accurate, timely and defensible case records.
- Working within relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Social Work England Registration.
- A recognised Social Work qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years' post-qualified Social Work experience.
- Experience working within Adult Social Care.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Experience undertaking assessments, reviews and safeguarding work.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
