Your new company: We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, and outgoing Senior Support Worker to join a team of qualified staff in Llanelli. The organisation provides support to children in a residential setting, helping to provide a safe and homely environment. It is important to them that they build and maintain trust with the people they support, whilst promoting their rights, interests, and dignity. Your new role: The role of senior support worker will consist of supporting the delivery of care to children with a range of personalities and needs. You will be involved in supporting the everyday routines of the residents and ensuring the psychological needs of each individual are met. This will include taking the residents out into the community to complete activities such as bowling, cinema trips or eating out, allowing you to build strong relationships and self-esteem. Typical shifts will be long days and sleep-ins. What you will need to succeed: You will need to have previous experience in a residential setting, have a QCF Level 3 children and young people. You must also be committed to undertaking all pre-employment training and have a desire to further your career by gaining further qualifications. It is important that you work as part effectively within the team to provide the best service we can to the people we support. Driving is essential for this role.
