Your new role involves being a proactive Records Information Officer to lead a review of information governance and records management processes. Acting as a central coordination point, you will ensure data is accurate, secure, and compliant throughout the review period.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Auditing and rationalising information assets across the organisation.
- Reviewing and updating the Information Asset Register (IAR).
- Confirming data classification levels and identifying high-risk or sensitive assets.
- Checking retention and disposal compliance and ensuring destruction processes meet GDPR standards.
- Producing clear reports on compliance status, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
What you will need to succeed:
- Strong knowledge of records management principles, GDPR, and FOI.
- Experience with MS Purview and information governance frameworks.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
