The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
4 of 4 off shifts with the choice of 20hrs, 25hrs or 32hrs a week. Hays has partnered with a wonderful extra care service in the Rowley Regis area of Sandwell that is looking for compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to join their friendly team. In this role, you will support senior adults to maintain and develop their independence through personalised care, activities, and enablement programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person‑centred physical, emotional and practical support in accordance with their care plans.
- Act as a key worker: helping plan, record and review individual support needs.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, toileting, feeding and mobility (respecting cultural and religious needs).
- Support individuals to develop/maintain life skills and take part in meaningful activities that enhance wellbeing.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, colleagues and external agencies.
- Provide domiciliary care to all service users.
- Work both independently in the community and as part of a wider team.
- Follow all health, safety, safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a care or support worker in the last 2 years in the UK.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to follow support/care plans and risk assessments.
- Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload.
- Willingness to undertake training and work flexibly across different locations.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
- A minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
- An up-to-date Medicine administration training certificate in the last 12 months.
- Flexibility and commitment to work Weekends and Bank Holidays following the 4 on 4 off rota.

- Enhanced DBS check (Adults' barred list) required.
- 2 Professional references.
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
- Training certificate in Medicine Administration - in the last 12 months.
