Your new role
As a Multi-Skilled Operative (Plumbing bias), you will deliver a consistently high standard of repairs and maintenance across residential properties and communal areas. You'll carry out a broad range of plumbing, carpentry and general building tasks, working efficiently and completing jobs right first time wherever possible. You'll be customer-facing in this role, acting as a professional ambassador for the organisation, keeping residents informed and ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly and to a high standard. You'll also take part in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota and work closely with other trades to deliver a responsive repairs service.
What you'll need to succeed
- NVQ Level 2 or above (or time-served experience) in plumbing, carpentry or a related trade
- Proven experience carrying out plumbing repairs along with additional trade skills
- The ability to work across a variety of properties and repair types
- A strong focus on customer service and first-time fix
- Good understanding of health & safety, risk assessments and safe working practices
- Confidence using smartphones or tablets to log jobs, timesheets and materials
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider trade team
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- Physical capability to carry out a hands-on, mobile role
