Your new company Birmingham City Council is looking for experienced Adult Social Workers to join its Peripatetic Team, providing a flexible workforce across Adult Social Care services during periods of high demand, staffing shortages and service improvement work. Your new role As a Peripatetic Social Worker, you'll work across a variety of adult social care settings, including community, hospital, safeguarding and review teams. Your responsibilities will include: ✅ Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews ✅ Support planning and safeguarding enquiries ✅ Mental Capacity Act assessments and best-interest decisions ✅ Managing complex casework and progressing statutory interventions ✅ Supporting teams to maintain safe and effective service delivery What you'll need to succeed ✔ Minimum 2 years' post-qualification permanent experience within Adult Social Care ✔ Current Social Work England registration ✔ Previous UK Adults Social Work experience ✔ Ability to adapt quickly to different teams and service areas What you'll get in return ✨ Competitive rate of up to £28.40 per hour ✨ Flexible hybrid working arrangements ✨ Regular supervision and support from experienced Senior Practitioners ✨ Monthly team meetings and clear case direction ✨ Variety, autonomy and exposure to different Adult Social Care services across Birmingham, Sandwell and Oxfordshire.
