Birmingham City Council is looking for experienced Adult Social Workers to join its Peripatetic Team, providing a flexible workforce across Adult Social Care services during periods of high demand, staffing shortages and service improvement work.
As a Peripatetic Social Worker, you'll work across a variety of adult social care settings, including community, hospital, safeguarding and review teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews
- Support planning and safeguarding enquiries
- Mental Capacity Act assessments and best-interest decisions
- Managing complex casework and progressing statutory interventions
- Supporting teams to maintain safe and effective service delivery
What you'll need to succeed:
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualification permanent experience within Adult Social Care
- Current Social Work England registration
- Previous UK Adults Social Work experience
- Ability to adapt quickly to different teams and service areas
