Are you looking to join a dynamic and friendly MASH team on a permanent basis? We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Team Manager to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team within the Referral & Assessment service.
MASH is the first point of contact for all potential safeguarding concerns related to children. This co-located team brings together various agencies and their information to identify risks and needs of children at the earliest possible point, responding with effective and coordinated actions. The goal of MASH is to make timely and appropriate decisions for families, ensuring necessary actions to improve outcomes for vulnerable children.
As one of the Assistant Team Managers, you will lead a team of Senior Social Workers and Social Workers in the delivery of our statutory and legislative duties, fostering a supportive and collaborative working environment, whilst promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people in Slough whilst effectively managing risk.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- You will need to be a Social Work England registered social worker with a professional social work qualification.
- You will have substantial post-qualification experience in children and families social work, with a collaborative and supportive approach.
- Experience managing newly qualified Social Workers and unqualified staff.
- Specialist knowledge of one or more key issues affecting children and their families, e.g. Domestic Abuse, Mental Health, Radicalisation, Neglect, Contextual Safeguarding.
